A PROUD HISTORY

Property is in my veins! Generations of my family have been involved in land development and property throughout Auckland - my grandfather donated 12000 acres of Great Barrier Island to the people of Auckland, I grew up on a farm and my mother worked in residential and commercial real estate throughout my childhood and adolescence (with Bayleys). Coming from this background it seemed natural I would move into the trade.

NEW DIRECTIONS AND DESTINATIONS

Following my final year at St Kentigern College, I traveled through Europe for 7 months. Upon my return to NZ, and over the next several years, I worked for a range of companies in the home and design industry including those specialising in bathroom design products, and home interior wares imported from leading European design houses.

In 1997 I accepted the position of Sales and Technical Service Manager for a laser and surveying instrument company. Initially joining a fledgling business, during my 5 years with the company I was significantly involved in expanding this to a highly successful business. My enthusiasm for working with people, both in terms of negotiation and dedication to meeting customer needs, assisted me in achieving the highest sales figures for the company during my employment.

A WELCOME RETURN

Ultimately, however, my real affinity and genuine passion for real estate led me to venture into the industry, where I spent my initial years being trained by "one of the best", in a small boutique agency in Parnell.
Early in 2003 I moved to selling upper-end property in Herne Bay, St Mary's Bay and Ponsonby and over my 5 years in this area I consistently succeeded as top achiever within the office and gained considerable market share in my suburbs of focus.

At the beginning of 2007, I felt the need for change of scenery. Having spent many childhood summers on Waiheke and buying my own beach house on the Island, I became aware of Waiheke's huge untapped potential and scope. The chance arose to work with a small firm on the Island and subsequently to join the very successful team at Bayleys Waiheke. My decision to live and work on Waiheke has been a rewarding one, and I look forward to continuing a fulfilling career within the community of this beautiful island.
